Vaporware FTW
If you are a vendor of things, constantly changing your marketing strategy, portfolio, and capabilities in an attempt to appear like your product is cutting edge; don’t shit yourself when your partners leave you and call your bluff.
Don’t call back after you suggest that if we don’t like it, we can leave – so we do.
Don’t sell a product then nickle and dime your customers to fix annoyances touted as “upgrades” when you’re the only vendor in the segment doing so.
Equipment should never be sold at a freemium under the guise of “we’re trying to be modular.” Your solution is over 30% more in cost when all bundled together; yet barely does 90% of the base model of your competition.
Your “free” cloud offerings are now so limited, trying to push out a production product is not feasible. And, your cloud management suite “doesn’t have that feature yet” so trying to deploy equipment remotely is impossible.
Lastly, your marketing team should come up with something unique and special about your product instead of incorporating your name in to every aspect of your business.
