Time is money, friend
We all have them. The client who calls you at 4:48 PM on a Friday claiming to have a huge emergency and they need all hands on deck. And generally, these folks are good to work with – until they aren’t.
A friend of mine told me about a client they had that called for a “really big ransomware incident,” so they gathered the team and went to work. The team had assembled and was ready for the zoom meeting, but the client didn’t show.
The team tried to reach the client for the better part of 2 hours to no avail. It wasn’t until several days later that the client called back and said they had it under control; false alarm.
Obviously these things happen, but when you call upon a specialized team of individuals to help you out during a crisis, the least you can do is communicate. It’s like calling 911 to report a fire and then when the firetrucks get to the address, the doors are locked and nobody is around.
