Much like Reno 911 was a mockumentary-style parody of law enforcement shows, Reno InfoSec is a parody of the things we see in the Information Security, Cyber Security, Information Technology, and Dev-Ops fields.
From memes about cables being ran across the floor, to comic strips about our favorite technicians, this site is meant to bring humor to the horrible attempts at professionalism we see in the field.
- ASP.Gary
- Coding so bad, it has its own classification. Who’s Gary? Nobody. It was a random name, kind of like the “Don’t be a Dave” regional help wanted ads…

- Techs Gone Wild
- Sometimes, technicians get a bit overzealous when it comes to their work. Think of it as a play on “Girls Gone Wild”. Perhaps the Tech was drunk, and made poor life choices that their parents aren’t proud of.
- I’m In Charge!
- Dedicated to the “leadership” that isn’t quite leading – they’re just a boss. Because sometimes, you don’t have to work with bad techs or programmers; you have to work FOR them too!
The goal is to have fun and it is all in jest. If you feel like you are a Gary or Tech Gone Wild – and we’re specifically talking about you, we may be.
